Meet Courtney

photo of Courtney Micklesphoto of Courtney MicklesTherapy can be a vulnerable experience where you share personal details of your life to your therapist. I hope to be able to create a safe environment for you where you feel comfortable to share these details and be your most authentic self.

My Approach to Therapy

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. This means my clients and I work together to find the best fit and approach to therapy for them. I tell all my cleints that, “therapy is for you so get what you need out of it.” This means to let me know what you like and don't like in our sessions, and what you need more of and less of. This will help me better tailor therapy to you. The more personal the therapy experinece is for you the better the results will be when your therapy experience ultimately comes to an end. The goal is for therapy to be used as a successful tool for you so that you can feel more comfortable in your everyday life. Therapy can be a great way to learn better skills that can help you communicate better in your relationship, become more in-tune with your most authentic self, and how to be more loving and accepting of who you truly are.
